AFAN Aids Walk

LeReveSkinCityAFAN

Waking up at 6:00am is not an easy feat for most people in Las Vegas, let alone late-night performers and makeup artists, but when you have a good cause to rise and shine for, it’s worth it! Our day began at UNLV’s campus as the sun crept up and the cool winds showed promise of a beautiful morning. The Skin City team was setting up to help volunteer for the AIDS WALK in association with AFAN.

We were gearing up to paint the talented cast of Le Rêve; the acrobatic, aquatic strip spectacle found at The Wynn Hotel. Our team adorned the Le Rêve volunteers and walkers with airbrushed logos to help show off who they were walking for. Along with our body paint set up, the cast posed for photos in order to promote their #livethedream contest. AFAN said that Le Rêve had one of the busiest booths of the mornings, and we would definitely like to think we contributed to that. The AIDS WALK holds a near and dear spot in our hearts, and we were certainly happy to help with a great cause!

All of our volunteers had a great time mingling with the cast, walkers, and meeting all of the four-legged walkers as well. Thanks again to Letty Lopez, Carolin Feigs, Corina Smith, Fi Brightman, Jolene Williams, and Steve Horlock for their help in another successful event!

The below note is from Richard Hudock of Wynn Las Vegas.

Jessica, Robin – and your entire team,

I wanted to express my sincere gratitude to your team for coming out to support us at AFAN’s AIDS Walk this past Sunday. We had more than 300 Wynn and Encore employees sign up – many of which were our Le Rêve cast and crew. It was a great morning for all involved. AFAN said yesterday that tent ‘the most interactive and talked about of the event.’

Our #sharethedream contest was a success with nearly 200 walkers entering a photo on Instagram or Twitter. Below are some highlights of the photos submitted. Our multimedia team was onsite interviewing employees and cast members and getting shots of the interactions and performance for a great compilation video to come.

Your time made this an absolute stand out opportunity and I sincerely cannot thank you enough. Your team was incredible and I hope you enjoyed the event as much as we did.

Let us know when your team wants to come see the show.

Thank you again!
