The most famous warrior princess of the Amazons will be the inspiration within the walls of Skin City Body Painting this December’s First Friday. Owner Robin Slonina has put the call out to select Las Vegas artists to create a unique work of art with Wonder Woman as their muse. 20 exciting artists will exhibit their work in the Studio with a soft opening on Thursday, December 6th from 6pm to 9pm, and a grand opening on Friday, December 7th from 6pm to 1am (open late for show people!)
It will be wildly intriguing to witness so many different takes on the DC Comics icon that Wikipedia calls a “distinctly feminist role model whose mission was to bring the Amazon ideals of love, peace, and sexual equality to a world torn by the hatred of men.”
In addition to the sculpture, paintings and fashion that will be on display, there will be the astounding collection of Wonder Woman memorabilia from Miss Exotic World 2009 champion Kalani Kokonuts! The Hawaiian-Polynesian burlesque super-star counts Wonder Woman as a seminal influence on her, and she has the world-class collection of WW swag to prove it!
The usual live body painting demo will return on First Friday, as the lovely competitive fitness model Alyssa will be transformed into Wonder Woman herself.
